Explain your thoughts about Naomi's confusion and fear at the end of the chapter as it relates to Skyla's behavior and comments given what was going on and had happened recently. While you are writing, use descriptive vocabulary and interesting sentences (not simple and choppy)!

I thought the confusion was about why Gram didn't tell her that Skyla was in rehab and why Skyla had down those stupid things. (I HAVE NO IDEA)- Lighthouse

I thought naomi was confused why her grandma didnt tell her about the past that her mother (Skyla) went through, and about her mothers addiction to alcohol. I think Naomi has a HUGE reason to be scarred I myself would have been filled with horror if my mother would leave me and be addicted to alcohol!!!!!!!!!
Wiiings9000- I think Naomi was confused because she heard that her dad yearned for her and that she was annoyed that gram did not tell her about it. Also Naomi was confused when Skyla started to be mean to her because she had just been giving her so many gifts and had been so sweet to her.
Pufferfish- Naomi was confused because Skyla gave her all these items and enjoyed lots of things with her, so when Skyla started acting mean, she got confused. Also, Clive wants to be their friends and bought Owen a new bike. Naomi is scared because Skyla was acting mean, and she heard that she had alcohol problems, so maybe that's why her eyes were red in the morning, and she missed the conference. Also, Skyla might've had an argument with Clive over the phone about the children.
asa911-I think that Naomi was confused and scared because for seven years and Gram didn't tell Naomi or Owen that their father wanted them, and that Skyla went to rehab and halfway houses because she was an alcoholic and a drug addict. And she might have been confused because Skyla missed the conferences to go on a ''long weekend'' with Clive.
